Tims Ford 1/6/2012

First trip of the year didn't yield much except relieve cabin fever. It was pretty nice on the water, temp in the 60s but a chilly wind and high, blue sky. Got on the lake about 11 after gassing the boat and truck. Tims is about an hour and half or close. Fished until 3:30 and headed back to Franklin. I caught 2 largemouth bass, 1 a dink and 1 about 2.5. Caught him on a jerk bait. The dink came on a DT 10. Fished a jig, DT 6 and DT 10, a Luck E Strike STX, Big Hammer swim bait and yes, even a float 'n fly. Spoke to a local who had caught a couple of fish on a jig and one on f n f. At the ramp spoke to a couple of locals, one had caught 3 small ones and the other had caught 1 lm and 1 sm (he said it was a good one). However I saw reports from 2 guides on Tims that had pretty decent days mostly on cranks. Enjoyed being out and hope to go again soon.
