Ky Lake at New Johnsonville
We had an interesting day on Ky Lake. Heavy fog, on lake at 7:30am. GPSed to a point downlake. Caught 4 smallies up to 2 lbs and a nearly 8 lb Hybrid pictured caught by my fishing partner Doyal Brown in about 15 minutes. Then they left. We fished on back in some creeks with moderate success. Nothing big, maybe 2 lbs mostly largemouths with 2-3 Kentuckies mixed in. We caught our fish mostly on Red Eye shad, spinner baits, Zell Pops but Doyal killed me on a white chatterbait. I left mine at home and was too hardheaded to accept his offer to borrow one. He also caught a 3-4 lb pickerel. The water was down about 18 inches from last week and seemed to move the bass and bait fish back out of shallow water. Great day to be on the water.
Final count: Doyal 16, Bill 8.

Center Hill Lake
First visit to Center Hill. Enjoyed exploring the lake but sure didn't catch any fish. Well, 1 bass about 8 in and 1 goggle eye about 4 in. Just couldn't figure out how to fish a lake that is 106 ft deep in the creeks. I will like fish Tims Ford which is a similar lake but closer to my home.

Updated Blog
It has been a long time since I have posted to my blog. I have now moved to Franklin, Tn in Dec. 2008 and I am still getting settled. Lots of interesting lakes to fish near here. I have fished this year, Toledo Bend (Mar), Lake Fork (May) Guntersville (April), Tims Ford, Ky Lake (Cuba Landing, New Johnsonville), Old Hickory, and mostly Percy Priest. I hope to fish in the future, Center Hill, Dale Hollow, Wheeler & Wilson, Cheatham, Cumberland River. and Barkley. I have joined a Bass Club named F-3 (Fishing for Fun) Enjoyed meeting all the members.
Fishing has been moderately successful with a lot of misses. No big fish this year. 4.5 largemouth in Ky Lake and a 4 lb smallmouth in Priest.
I will try to keep this blog update with my fishing reports.
