Percy Priest 12-1-2011

I was "Rob'ed" on Thursday. My good friend Rob K is beginning a new job in Jan so he has some "weekday" fishing to do. He picked me up in Franklin and we got to Fate Sanders about 10. Had a quick bite of breakfast, bundled up and headed out. The early morning temp was about 28. By 10 it wasn't too frigid but up on plane it was plenty cold. We ran to a number of rock bluffs from above Fate to near Elm Hill. We were fishing Rob's joggle pattern that had been effective the weekend before but it was really slow this day. Rob wound up with 4 spots, a couple being nice keepers and he lost one. I, on the other hand, caught zero but I did get a couple of timid bites. So it is obvious that I was "Rob'ed". Fish caught on jigs with one on a shad rap. We saw a lot of bait in one of the flats but the fish were reluctant. Rob is fishing a tournament on Saturday. I suspect he will do well with the joggle pattern after 2 more stable days ahead of a front. In spite of the zero, it was an enjoyable day. Can't wait to go again.
